As a Draftsman you will bring your skills and interest in the water transfer industry to:

  • Create and draft pump designs, assemblies and parts in Autodesk Inventor

  • Work closely with the sales team to deliver quality documents representing QA and build data to our clients

  • Advise the engineering production team on design issues and requirements across a range of projects and products

  • Work with suppliers to receive and register material data sheets and manage conformance through the pump build process

  • Work closely with the lead engineer to ensure we design to applicable standards

  • Consult with the lead engineer to produce engineering general arrangement drawings for product offerings and to produce pump production work packs within the scheduled timeframe.

As a Draftsman you will have strong verbal and written communication skills, also a problem-solving attitude and great time management skills. Furthermore, you need to have:

  • A degree in drafting (e.g. Certificate IV Engineering Drafting, Certificate III in Manufacturing Technology (CAD/Drafting)) or willing to get one by learning on the job

  • Minimum of 3 years working experience as a Draftsman

  • Interested in working in a Mechanical Engineering area

  • Experience in 3D CAD modelling, Autodesk Inventor and FE analysis for the creation of quality pump designs

  • A driving license C

  • Flexibility in hours to meet operational needs and ensure client satisfaction.
